About this block
What tumbling looks like
Tumbling blocks put campers on the tumble track and spring floor with a coach the whole way. The bouncy surface gives kids extra air and softer landings, which is exactly what makes cartwheels, round-offs and back handsprings click faster than they would on a hard floor.
Why campers love it
- Tumble track reps with hands-on spotting
- Skill stations grouped by ability, not just age
- Foam pit landings for anything new or inverted
- Daily skill goals so campers see progress by Friday

Skills
What campers build here
- Forward and backward rolls with clean technique
- Cartwheels and round-offs
- Handstands and bridge work
- Back handspring shaping and connections

We've tried several other gymnastics, but we happily drive 30 minutes to Interstellar and it's absolutely worth it! The coaches give excellent attention to each child and really focus on helping them master skills the right way. The coach-to-student ratio is great, so kids get plenty of individual guidance and encouragement. We are very thankful to Dan, Nate and many other coaches for our 3 years of excellent trainings (we loved both gym and ninja classes)!
My children attended gymnastics classes at Interstellar Gymnastics with great pleasure. Every time they came out of training with a smile, sharing what new things they had learned, and eagerly looking forward to the next session. They perfectly combine fun and serious physical training. The kids noticeably strengthened their bodies, improved coordination, endurance, and flexibility. Huge thanks to the coaches for their attention to the children and the warm atmosphere!
My kids just love Interstellar. Nate, the head coach and the owner, puts his soul in what he's doing and kids feel that. My older one (9yo) is in the team and he's always motivated and just loves the classes. I like the balance between the push to the better competition results and having fun. My younger one (4yo) just loves the fun hanging out there and jumping around.
Questions
Tumbling FAQs
Is tumbling safe for a total beginner?
Yes. Beginners start with rolls, handstands and cartwheels on soft surfaces, and nothing inverted happens without a coach spotting.
Can advanced tumblers keep training at camp?
Absolutely. Experienced campers work connections and higher-level passes with coaches while beginners work fundamentals.
